I have enjoyed the Web 2.0 class so much, and there are so many tools to learn. I have attempted to simplify all of the available Web 2.0 resources as much as possible.
I have saved all of the resources that Dr. Dennen has suggested to my Favorites in Internet Explorer in a folder titled Educational Resources. I tend to be an organizational freak and love everything in its own place. What I would like to do next is create sub folders by "type" of Web 2.0 tool.
The other thing that I have attempted to do with all of these tools is create the same user name and password, and in most cases I have used my Google sign-on to help keep it simple and easy to remember. I know that all of these sites will be most valuable as I explore Web 2.0 further and discover new tools.
I have enjoying learning from everyone, and hope you all have a great rest of the summer! I would love to hear any tips that anyone else has on managing all of our new-found information!

Good on you for keeping the same name. It's so easy to be another anonymous nobody online and if you keep the same name the chances that you build a community from people that recognize you is bound to increase.

Casey, I agree, and I think if I contribute more going forward, I will build credibility with the various communities. It's just hard to keep it up on an ongoing basis I believe.

I did the same thing, if I had tried different usernames and passwords there would be absolutely be no going back. I also have my own folder and hope to get to organize and share with others!
ReplyDeleteKat, I agree! I want to get all of my favorites organized, and I think if I look at the resource cite that we have for the class wiki (via the Course Blog) ... http://eme6414tools.wikispaces.com/ ... I should be able to do this.
DeleteBarbara we made it! lol I love how you've attempted to organize it all, I tried, but doubt I did as well as you. I've also kept most of the tools we've tried with my same google account and password. I haven't yet, but you should look into some password keepers online, there's some good ones out there from what I hear.

Magali, we surely did make it! Wow, it was a fast and busy six weeks. I feel so relieved; I just finished my PLN paper. I had not thought writing 3 pages would be so difficult, but it took me some time, lol! :)
